There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this. Different companies need different numbers of testers because the test design is tailored to meet your objectives. Most of our tests are between 8-16 users.
Generally, higher numbers of testers per design will uncover rarer issues. If you test 10 testers, you will find usability issues affecting down to 25% of users, with 95% confidence. If you want to identify the most rare issues, then you would need 40 testers to affect down to 5% of users.
Larger companies who need quantitative data to inform decisions may need 100-200 testers. Yes, there’s a lot of math involved, but we work with you to meet your objectives in the most efficient way.
Sure! If a user can access your prototype, we can test it. We recommend that your prototype be fully linked up and clickable, so users have the most natural experience on the page, without seeing the “happy path” too easily. We want a real-world test.

Our minimum is set to 6 for any user test to ensure we get relevant and sufficient data to generate a confident and actionable report.
The maximum number of users in a test depends on your target demographics, but in general we can test up to 400 users.
Our project timing depends on the report type you need and how many testers you are using. Generally, we run a two-week project, with the first week consisting of prep, briefing, test plan and recruitment. After the test launch, we usually deliver the final report within one week. Larger projects with increased numbers of testers may need 3 or 4 weeks from project beginning to end.
Yes, all data is stored on secure servers with strict privacy regulations. We do not store any financial data, or personal data. Any personal data from users is kept private from clients.
Yes, we can handle moderated, remote moderated and remote unmoderated testing. Your perfect test design is available with us.
There are instances where real personal information is needed for accurate testing. In these cases, our users are made aware of the requirements, but we also ensure that their personal info will be “blurred out” before sending it on to clients. Our adherence to personal security and privacy keeps us in business and leading the industry.
